Packed my bags and moved

I've packed my bags and moved this site to it's own domain on a Wordpress platform where I have more control over things and features. Posterous was pretty good to me up until it became involved with Facebook and it's 'Like' campaign.

Now, before any of you start going off on me about the advantages of Facebook and their planned takeover of the world wide web, let me tell you something first:

  • This is about choice. My choice.
  • This is about privacy. My privacy, such as it is.
  • This is about me deciding what or who gets to share my content and/or information.
  • This is about having more control over what goes on.

You should think about this too as if you're a Facebook user, your choice, your privacy and your right to decide who gets access to your information should be your choice first. Not an all opted-in deal by Facebook first and then the opt-out part made available later. Check the Like button below to see how Posterous decided for me in opting me in to this new campaign Facebook started.

You can now find this site at it's own domain called Random Bytes of Reality Visit me there for more randomness, reality and decide for yourself if your privacy matters. I have a Share This button under each of my posts there because "I" decided to add it. Feel free to use it at your own discretion. There also is a widget that shows you what your browser reveals when you visit a web site. It's not there to harvest information. It's just to make you aware.

Thank you for reading and I hope to see you there.
